The month of May has just flown by. It was a complete blur. I took over 1,300 photos, and that doesn't include ones for other people. Hannah grew bigger and bigger. She's fluffed up and doesn't look like a newborn baby anymore. Katy finished out her pre-school year. Allen was measured at his two-year appointment and is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. This from a boy named Big Juice for most of his life.

This is a composite photo of Allen, Tara and Hannah...all at the seven week mark. I can see similarities in all three of them. Tara's grandma sent me the very same dress that Tara is wearing for this photo so Hannah got to try it on, too! Early in the month Mom and I drove the kids over to Laura's place to help her move into her new home. Mom and Sarah took the kids all to a hotel room for two days and nights without much of a break. The rest of us worked our tails off with the move. Amy was in charge of the kitchen and she did a fabulous job. Emily and Abby now have their own rooms and they're so proud! Plus they have a play room for all their toys. Mike loves the new yard and Laura loves all the storage. They are so happy with their new home!

For Memorial Day Peter and Allen mowed the yard. It was Allen's first time to help his Daddy. It was so cute! I actually had tears in my eyes! Allen stomped along behind his Daddy, and then darted into the garage to grab his wagon. He dragged it behind or pushed it in front until he was red in the face. They both had their own cups of water to cool off, and a well-deserved icy pop. For supper we had Warren and Marjean and Mom over and Peter grilled up some burgers and dogs. It was Hannah's first time wearing a swim suit. To quote Katy, "Hannah is adordable!"

For Katy's last day of school her class had a splash party. She and Kalan plastered one another with colored shaving cream until their little pool of water looked foamy white. Mom and I stopped by to spy on her, just like I did on her first day of school. Allen wanted to attend the party, too...poor lil' guy. Hannah Banana had a good time just hanging out with Mookie.

This is Katy just before school one day. She was tapping into her inner super-model.

We are so excited about Jason & Kristin's upcoming wedding. It will be here before we know it. These are photos from their wedding shower we had here in town. They look so happy! Kourtney and Hillary had my camera for a while and they had some fun with it.

Since Hanny came along we decided (ok, really just me) that Allen needs a big boy bed. He talks all the time now and he never ceases to surprise us with the concepts that he can understand. Our little man now is the proud owner of a twin-size bunk bed with a computer desk, dresser drawers and a storage space in the back. If you ask the kids, it's not a storage place, it's a hiding place. They love it and they constantly make us come look for them there.

Allen even annouced, "Bye, bye crib!"

This is Katy's plant that we finally watered from her school festival. It's a panty-hose footie that Katy filled with dirt and seeds. It grew a beard instead of just hair on its head, so I guess ours is more like that Geico cave man.

OK, at this point the Blogger site dropped all my comments so I have to go in and re-add. Sigh...at least they kept the photos. Those took FOREVER to upload!
Here is the beautiful little flower that my Juicy Allen gave me for Mother's Day. He planted it (almost) all by himself in the Church nursery. I was one proud mama standing there taking pics of all the kiddos for the nursery leader. Allen donned his work gloves and apron and promptly smashed every bit of life out of my lovely plant. Later he pulled it out of the cup just to look at the root system again. Somehow I have kept it alive now for almost a month.

Aunt Sarah and Mom joined us for Mother's Day at church where Katy finally went to the front and sang with the Primary kids for her mommy. She has been wanting to join those kids for years. She might not have known the words, but she stood at the front and sang out. Then, when all the kids were exiting the stage, Katy made a determined attempt to talk on the microphone at the podium. She was gently removed from the stage and we were all cracking up. Here is the photo of Sarah before church with the nuggets, and Allen looks like he needs more than church to get him right.

This lovely was one of many in a bouquet sent to my by my good friend Monica B. I guess she decided that I needed to be rewarded for surviving three kiddos so far! It was a fabulous surprise, especially since she had already sent Hanny a cuddly snuggle bear with a heart beat and everything!

Here is Farmer Allen getting ready for a day of hard work over at Grammy and Papa's house. They kept Allen and Hannah for me while Katy and I had a fun shopping trip for just the big girls. I can't remember if Mom was there, or not, but she pretty much joins us for everything so probably so! Allen was so proud to have a reason to bring his own lunch box!

Here is Katy at play. She loves to be dressed up as a princess or Tinkerbell (wings) and she makes me be the "Bad Man" who is trying to get her. She loves to be chased, but not caught. Hopefully she keeps that same attitude when her dating years roll around...somewhere in 2040.

Allen is sporting a mis-matched set of Katybird shoes and showing off his mad dunking skills. He invented the game of climbing to the top of the slide, holding onto the goal and then slam-dunking whichever ball he can fit into the hoop, even a football.

Juicy, Hannah and I joined Peter and his co-workers for lunch one day. They were one accountant short so I dressed him up and "badged" him as an employee. They didn't want to hire him, and I can't imagine why not? He did get down from the table and he started slapping (literally) around a couple college gals who were taking a study break from finals. Luckily they were so exhausted they didn't care. So much for trying to train him to be a gentleman. I guess I should go ahead and get him a size 2T pimp cane and a big hat with a purple feather in it.

Hannah had LOTS of photo shoots this month. I just can't get over how much she has grown!

We did get to have a play date with Amy F. and Delma P. this month. My Amy came to town for that Saturday so she was able to join the fun! Delma and Jason picked up Allen's bunkbeds for me and stored them until I could get them. I am getting addicted to craigslist. And Mom received a mini-make-over from Amy with great results! If only Amy lived her to do it for us each every day.

These are some random pics of our various fun times. Jerry and Peter took Katy to an Aggie baseball game. She loved it! Mookie brought over pink cupcakes and they were a smashing success! I think Warren and Marjean may have brought Katy to a ball game, too. Allen got a hair cut, against his will. I dread the next one because he fights them so much. Maybe we'll let him get a mullet.

May is a big month for birthdays in our family! We visited Dad in Houston for his big day, and played at our favorite park there. I was gifted with a surprise nap. Peter took Katy to an Astro's game, compliments of the birthday boy. Then Allen, Hannah and I dragged Dad up and down aisles at Ikea for some adventurous European shopping. We topped off the day with some yummy Papacito's. Fun!

Amy was stuck celebrating her big day with us, and we kept it pretty low-key. She kidnapped the Bird from church and helped her to make Mom's famous marshmallow birthday cake. We were going to take the kids to the Bounce the next day but it was closed and they had to make do with a train ride at the Toys-R-Us entrance, instead.

And last but most juiciest, our little man turned TWO this month!! I can hardly believe it! I can still remember Jim pointing him out in the isolette with a "french fry light" on him for jaundice treatment. He filled out and got the sumo body, then learned to walk and became our feather-weight division fighter. He has consistently stayed just a few pounds behind Katy's weight and the doctor prounounced him to be in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. We sure love our "adordable" happy boy!

Here is Allen at his Pirate Party at Mookie's house. Aunt Sarah came with Chad, who was good sport enough to wear a pirate hat. I guess these kids have consumed a lot of 'rostings for this month!

Happy Birthday to our Juicy Allen!
