Well, I finally have to admit to myself that I have misplaced Allen's birthday pictures from his party. They're on a 1 gig memory card, lost somewhere, hopefully in the house. I'm trying not to think about it. I knew I should have loaded them onto the computer right away.

Anywho, Allen still had his one year photo shoots and here are some of the best ones:

He wasn't feeling 100% because his measles/mumps/rubella vaccination had given him fever and general yucks. Poor baby boy. He toughed it out, though. Katy always tells me, him and "ederyone" that Allen is tough! She says she's tough, too!

Allen is now stumbling forward in 4 or 5 step increments. He'll probably walking all the time within just a few weeks. Time has just flown by! Katy was walking by the end of her 13th month and I guess Allen will be, too. They have so many similarities. Neither one liked a bib. Neither liked a pacifier or sucked fingers or anything. So far neither one has become attached to any particular toy or blanket. Our family would be great for environment vs. genetics.

Katy and her ballet class did a FABULOUS job at their first dance recital!! We recorded it for posterity and it will be delicious for years to come! Katy was the only one who joined the audience in clapping after each dance ended. She has always loved to clap. One of her favorite songs is "If You're Happy and You Know It". When she stomps her feet for it, we're usually in the car so it really means she stomps the back of my seat.

Speaking of car, I can't remember if I have blogged about getting a new van. No pics yet and no name. These things take time. But Jessie is in good hands. The dealer who sold us the van says she is going to be his shop truck. He's already started fixing her up with new brakes, front & back. I was really worried that she would be doing drug runs down to Mexico. Sarah said she would be getting towed behind a bigger truck by a rope with someone tapping her brakes every so often to keep her from wrecking.

I wonder if Katy is missing her longer hair?

This past Monday I hauled a bunch of stuff to the animal shelter for their garage sale fund raiser. While we were there I took the kids in to see the animals. Allen reached out trying to touch the kitties. Katy loved seeing the kittens. And although there were several scary sounding dogs barking, they both loved that section, too. There were lots of little puppies to drool over.

Here is something I saw on a photo blog of a heart around Allen's feet. Only now his chunkers would only fit one at a time. I used my remote for the camera and clicked the button with my teeth. I may try again this weekend if I can get Peter to help. I added tiny blue hearts for a little something extra. This shot reminds me of the picture I took of Tara with her fingers in a heart around her pregnant belly...one of my favorites.

And finally, here is a shot of Katy jumping into Allen's photo shoot. She says "mite" for "mine" and so it was "mite turn".
